Concerns around key All Blacks players have taken the shine off of Saturday’s big win at Ellis Park, and forced head coach Dave Rennie to call up replacements.

Prop Ofa Tu’ungafasi and lock Jamie Hannah will link up with the New Zealand squad ahead of Tuesday’s Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry clash with the Lions, following injuries to Ethan de Groot and Josh Lord in the 33-16 victory over the Springboks.

De Groot and Lord will be monitored under World Rugby’s concussion protocols to determine whether they can continue on tour.

Tu’ungafasi brings 57 caps of experience, while Hannah made his Test debut against France in July.

The All Blacks have already lost George Bell, Billy Proctor, Caleb Clarke and Ollie Norris to injury on the tour, while Bradley Slater, Saula Ma’u, Noah Hotham and Richie Mo’unga have previously been called into the squad.

Rennie also made a late change to his match 23 on Saturday, with loose forward Anton Segner (swollen ankle) withdrawn and Simon Parker taking his place on the bench.
