The Blitzboks edged Argentina in a thrilling Cape Town Sevens final on Sunday.
Trailing 19-7 early in the second half, the hosts hit back with tries from series debutant Sonwabo Sokoyi and Christie Grobbelaar to triumph 21-19.
The Blitzboks ended the weekend unbeaten, with wins against Fiji, New Zealand and Great Britain on Saturday followed by a 22-17 semi-final victory against France.

The final was a gripping affair.
The Blitzboks knocked on from their opening attack and the Pumas made them pay when Luciano Gonzalez powered past Shilton van Wyk to score.
Argentina were then punished for a handling error when Donavan Don dotted down from a counter-attack.
But Gonzalez burst away from the restart and put Marcos Moneta away for a converted try that made it 14-7, and a promising Blitzboks attack in the last play of the half ended with another handling error.
Moneta grabbed his double with a brilliant five-pointer that began from inside the Pumas’ 22, before Sokoyi raced away for a converted try that cut the deficit to five.
