Leinster have welcomed back three Irish internationals for Friday night’s Vodacom URC opener against the Stormers in Cape Town.
Centre Robbie Henshaw, winger Jordan Larmour and loose forward Will Connors have shaken off injuries that kept them out of the run-in last season, and all three are on tour in South Africa and available for selection. Lock Brian Deeny is also fit again to bolster Leo Cullen’s squad.
However, Leinster will still be without several frontline players, with fullback Hugo Keenan sidelined for up to three months following groin surgery. Caelan Doris (shoulder) and Joe McCarthy (foot) are also unavailable for the early rounds, although both are making progress in their recovery.

There was more positive news for Leinster with the announcement that prop Jerry Cahir has signed a short-term senior deal.
Cahir has impressed in the All-Ireland League, winning back-to-back Player of the Year awards at Dublin University and Lansdowne, featured for Leinster A in last year’s IRFU 150 Interprovincial Championship final, and came off the bench in the recent pre-season friendly against Cardiff.
