Coach Ivan van Rooyen has made three changes to the Lions starting XV for Saturday’s Vodacom URC match against the Scarlets at Ellis Park.

Nico Steyn starts at scrumhalf in place of Springbok Morne van den Berg, who came off early in the first half against Benetton last week with a hamstring strain.

Darrien Landsberg fills the No 5 jersey in place of Ruan Delport, with Reinhard Nothnagel returning from injury on the bench as lock cover.

Winger Eduan Keyter also returns after missing out last weekend, with Richard Kriel back at inside centre.
