Star flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu is one of six Springboks named in Bismarck du Plessis and Mike Tindall’s 2025 World XV.

Former Bok hooker Du Plessis and ex-England centre Tindall made the selection on The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast, opting for a balanced combination of flair and physicality.

Loosehead prop Ox Nche was praised for his scrummaging power and all-round work rate, edging out England’s Ellis Genge. Malcolm Marx, the 2025 World Rugby Player of the Year, was an automatic selection at hooker, while Thomas du Toit earned the No 3 jersey after a superb season with Bath and continued impact for the Boks.

In the back row, blindside flank Pieter-Steph du Toit was included for his destructive presence and big-match pedigree as a two-time World Rugby Player of the Year.

Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu was picked at flyhalf ahead of Finn Russell and George Ford, with Tindall highlighting his attacking output – the most defenders beaten in the Rugby Championship and a record nine career tries for a Bok No 10 in 19 Tests.

Damian de Allende claimed the inside centre berth thanks to his physicality and consistency on the biggest stages.

Outside centre Jesse Kriel and scrumhalf Cobus Reinach were both discussed at length but narrowly missed out on final selection.
