The Sharks have further bolstered their front-row resources with the signing of a Cheetahs prop amid a growing long-term injury list.
Injuries to Ruan Dreyer (ACL) and Simphiwe Matanzima (back) have forced the Durban-based side to look to Bloemfontein for cover, with Rapport claiming Cameron Dawson will link up with the Sharks in February.
A former Paul Roos Gymnasium pupil, Dawson was part of the Cheetahs squad that competed in this season’s EPCR Challenge Cup.
The 27-year-old’s current profile makes him an attractive signing as he is not currently in Test contention and therefore available for Sharks selection throughout the season.

The move continues a busy recruitment period for the Sharks, with Dawson becoming the third prop to join them this year.
The signings of Nemo Roelofse from Perpignan and Springbok prop Thomas du Toit from Bath have already been confirmed.
