The Sharks’ win against Saracens and Toulouse’s shock defeat to Glasgow has blown Pool 1 of the Investec Champions Cup wide open.
The Sharks went into their round two clash at Kings Park under pressure having lost their opener at Toulouse 56-19.
But a confidence-boosting 28-23 bonus-point win over Saracens, followed by Glasgow’s 28-21 upset of Toulouse means the men from Durban are still well in the mix in Pool 1.
The top four teams in each pool qualify for the round of 16, while the fifth-placed sides get a spot in the EPCR Challenge Cup playoffs.

SATURDAY WRAP: Glasgow comeback stuns Toulouse
The third and fourth rounds of the Champions Cup take place on 9-11 January and 16-18 January respectively.
Pool leaders Glasgow should extend their lead at the top when they face bottom-placed Clermont in France, before hosting Sarries.

However, arguably the biggest clash of Pool 1 will come in round three when three-times winners Saracens host six-time champions Toulouse.
Toulouse face the fourth-placed Sale Sharks in round four.
The Sharks’ playoffs fate could be determined by their away match against Sale in round three, which is followed by a home clash against Clermont.
