Former Stormers flank Hacjivah Dayimani made his long awaited return for Racing 92 in a nail-biting 35-34 win against Lyon, who had Arno Botha at flank.

Johann van Graan‘s Bath overturned a half-time deficit to secure a 30-26 win against Gloucester. Springbok prop Thomas du Toit packed down alongside Franz van Wyk for Bath, while former Bulls No 9 Bernard van der Linde featured from the bench. Flank James Venter started for Gloucester.
Prop Lhuan de Bruin appeared for the Newcastle Red Bulls in a humiliating 73-14 loss to Saracens at the Stone X Stadium in London.
Benhard Janse van Rensburg started in the Bristol Bears midfield in an 8-3 win against the Exeter Chiefs, who had former Stormer Joseph Dweba at hooker.
Former Bulls flanker Hanro Liebenberg‘s Leicester Tigers claimed a 36-7 win against Harlequins at Twickenham Stoop, while prop Simon Kerrod started for Quins.

Five South Africans featured in the Northampton Saints’ 43-29 win against the Sale Sharks in Salford – lock Ernst van Rhyn, flank Jacques Vermeulen and centres Rob du Preez and Marius Louw. Saints had JJ van der Mescht in their second row.
Japan Rugby League One
Seven South Africans ran out for the Kubota Spears in their 24-20 defeat to the Toshiba Brave Lupus in Tokyo – Malcolm Marx, Ruan Botha, David Bullbring, Tyler Paul and Merwe Olivier all featured in the pack, while Rikus Pretorius and Gerhard van der Heever started in the backs.
Springbok flank Franco Mostert captained the Honda Heat in their 32-23 win against the Urayasu D-Rocks. Prop Mattys Basson, lock Janko Swanepoel and flyhalf Dawid Kellerman also ran out for the Heat, while Jasper Wiese started at No 8 for the D-Rocks.
Springbok duo Damian de Allende and Cheslin Kolbe exchanged tries as the Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights edged the Suntory Sungoliath 31-30 in Saitama. Kolbe scored 15 points for the Sungoliath, while De Allende powered over in the first half for the Wild Knights, who utilised Ockie Barnard as a replacement.
Lukhanyo Am started in the Mitsubishi Dynaboars midfield in their 33-24 loss to the Black Rams Tokyo in Kanagawa.
Jesse Kriel captained the Yokohama Canon Eagles in a 38-32 defeat to the Kobe Steelers. Kriel started at centre, while former Sharks flank Jeandre Labuschagne featured off the bench.
Kwagga Smith scored a brace of tries as the Shizuoka Blue Revs stormed to a 43-19 win over Toyota Verblitz at the Yamaha Stadium in Shizuoka. Hooker Schalk Erasmus and lock Lourens Erasmus started for the Verblitz.
