Springbok flyhalf Sacha Fenberg-Mngomezulu has reportedly made a big decision on his immediate future.
According to Netwerk24, rugby’s hottest property is set to extend his contract with the Stormers until 2029, with an official announcement expected within the coming days.
The 23-year-old was previously tied to the Stormers until 2027, but negotiations around an improved and extended deal gathered pace after his rapid rise over the past year. While a broad agreement had been reached earlier, Feinberg-Mngomezulu’s signature was only finalised following further discussions.

If confirmed, the extension would be a major coup for the Stormers, securing the services of one of the most in-demand young playmakers in the global game and reinforcing their long-term plans around a player widely viewed as a generational talent.
Feinberg-Mngomezulu’s stock has soared following a dream year in green and gold, during which he firmly established himself as South Africa’s first-choice flyhalf. Among the standout moments was his record-breaking 37-point haul in the Springboks’ emphatic 67-30 victory over Argentina in Durban – a performance that underlined his growing influence and authority at Test level.

While the franchise is yet to confirm the deal, all indications suggest the waiting game is nearly over and that Feinberg-Mngomezulu’s future will remain firmly anchored in Cape Town for the foreseeable future.
