Louis Rees-Zammit is facing a race against time to be fit for Wales’ November Tests, which includes a clash with the Springboks in Cardiff.
The 23-year-old wing picked up a foot injury in Bristol’s Premiership defeat to Saracens last weekend.
Rees-Zammit has made a promising return to rugby following his NFL stint with the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars, scoring two tries in four matches for Bristol.
