A Stormers pivot has committed to the club until 2029 after a strong start to the new season.

Jurie Matthee’s contract extension is another significant retention win for the Stormers as part of Project 2029, with the flyhalf repelling interest from clubs in South Africa and abroad to stay in Cape Town.

The 25-year-old has been a key figure in the Stormers’ early-season momentum, delivering control and composure in the No 10 jersey as the side made an unbeaten start across competitions.
