South African wing Kyle Steyn will reach a significant milestone in Saturday’s 1872 Cup second leg against Edinburgh at Murrayfield.

The former Matie will run out for his 100th cap in Glasgow colours and captain the side.

Glasgow coach and former Springbok flyhalf Franco Smith has made six changes to his starting pack for Saturday’s Vodacom URC clash, which also serves as the Cup decider.

The Warriors take a 12-point aggregate advantage to Murrayfield after edging their bitter rivals 24-12 in a bruising first leg at Hampden last weekend.

The entire front row and second row have been changed, with Matt Fagerson and Jack Dempsey the only two forwards retained in the starting XV.

Senior figures Zander Fagerson, Gregor Brown and Scott Cummings – who is in line to reach the milestone of 150 appearances for Glasgow – have all been named on the bench as part of the rotation.

Edinburgh, meanwhile, have made three changes to their match 23 following the first leg.

Hooker Ewan Ashman and centre Piers O’Conor both miss out after suffering concussions, while 19-year-old prop Ollie Blyth-Lafferty drops to the bench.

He is joined there by his younger brother Jerry, 21, who is set to make his professional debut.
