The citing accuses Mauvaka of striking an opponent with âany part of the arm, shoulder, head, or knee.â The clash happened midway through the first half, with France leading 10-0. Scotland later narrowed the gap to 16-13 before the break.
Scotland coach Gregor Townsend expressed confusion over the decision not to issue a red card. The outcome of Mauvakaâs hearing could see further consequences for the French rake following the contentious moment in an otherwise triumphant night for Les Bleus.
