The Lions have bolstered their ranks for next season with the signing of a key squad member from the Sharks.
A product of Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool in Pretoria and Stellenbosch University, utility back Eduan Keyter links up with Ivan van Rooyen’s charges for the 2025 Currie Cup in July.

The 29-year-old first emerged as a sensation on the wing for Griquas, running in 18 tries in 31 appearances since his debut for the Kimberley outfit in 2019. He was also one of the two top try-scorers in the 2020 Currie Cup (eight).
Keyter signed with the Sharks in 2021, but an ACL injury delayed his debut to late in the 2022-23 campaign. The speedster scored two tries across the Vodacom URC and EPCR Challenge Cup last season before starting all seven of his appearances this term.
Officially a Lion.
Eduan Keyter joins the Pride – and he’s bringing some serious heat.
