Springbok openside flank Marco van Staden was voted SA Rugby magazine’s MVP after the 24-17 defeat to the All Blacks in Auckland.

Van Staden received 11.9% of the vote from SARugbymag.co.za readers, edging out loosehead prop Ox Nche (11.3%) and scrumhalf Cobus Reinach (11%).

In the 75 minutes he spent on the field, Eksom made 37 metres from 11 carries, while making six tackles and winning a turnover.
