Jamie Joseph has named a 30-man All Blacks XV squad for the 2025 northern tour, featuring eight capped Test players and a strong mix of youth and experience.

Among the international contingent are David Havili, Dallas McLeod, Braydon Ennor, Folau Fakatava, Kyle Preston, Christian Lio-Willie, Dalton Papali’i and Brodie McAlister, who will bring Test-level leadership to the second-tier national team.

With an average age of 25, the squad reflects New Zealand’s next generation of stars pushing for higher honours.

Standout young names include winger Caleb Tangitau, hooker Jack Taylor and prop Siale Lauaki, all tipped for bright futures in black.

Missing out is in-form Otago halfback Dylan Pledger, who has been one of the NPC’s standout performers this season. Alongside Fakatava and Preston, Xavier Roe has been picked as the third scrumhalf.

Head coach Jamie Joseph says the squad had the right blend of proven performers and rising players ready to make the step up.

“It’s a squad with a good mix of experience and emerging talent and reflects the depth that’s building in the NPC and Super Rugby Pacific.

“There were a number of players who have put their hands up during the NPC and that made for some tight calls, but we think we’ve got the balance right.”

Joseph added that developing future All Blacks remained the team’s core purpose.

“A core purpose of this team is to develop and promote players through to the next level. No doubt some of these players will progress on to the All Blacks in future years and if that’s the case we will have done our job.”

The 2025 campaign will be the fourth All Blacks XV tour, with three matches scheduled in Europe.
