Cheslin Kolbe, who turns 32 today, has redefined the perception of what small backs can achieve in rugby.
Revered for his elusiveness, the winger has dazzled with an electric side-step and explosive pace, leaving a legacy of game-changing moments.
His contributions include scoring tries in critical games like the 2019 World Cup final and the third Test of the 2021 British & Irish Lions series, and helping to secure another World Cup triumph in 2023.

Kolbe’s performances in 2024 earned him the SA Rugby Player of the Year award and a nomination for the World Rugby award, solidifying his reputation as one of the most dangerous runners in rugby history.
Going into the Boks’ 2025 end-of-year tour, he had scored 21 tries in 46 Tests.
