Man of the Match Andre Esterhuizen says the Springboks’ record-breaking win against Wales in Cardiff highlighted their squad depth.

The world champions ran in 11 tries in a 73-0 victory that was the Dragons’ heaviest at home.

Esterhuizen, who was an almost unstoppable force throughout the game and scored a try, said the team was delighted to end an unbeaten five-week tour on such a high.

“I’m just happy to be standing here and having a clean sweep of this tour. We’ve worked really hard for it and happy we got the rewards today.”

The midfielder hailed the fact that the Springboks can make so many changes and still put in a dominant performance.

“I think whatever team they pick any for week, every guy steps up, everyone knows their role.

SIYA: Eben didn’t mean to eye-gouge Welshman

“I think everyone in the group is so committed and everything is so cohesive that it doesn’t matter who plays.

“Everyone trusts each other, from one to 50 in the squad.”
