This is looking to be a brutal year for applicants and admissions outcomes [because schools] have more high-quality applicants. In the last several years medians for both LSAT and GPA have risen at almost all schools, making the admissions cycle tougher and tougher each year. Many of the top schools the acceptance rates will drop even further.

Dave Killoran, a prelaw expert and former CEO of PowerScore, in comments given to Law.com, concerning the incredibly competitive admissions cycle that law school applicants are currently going through at top-tier schools that are decreasing their acceptance rates amid an increase in applicants.
