The No 1-ranked Springboks are the early favourites to win a third straight World Cup in 2027.

Rassie Erasmus’ men were on Wednesday drawn in Pool B with Italy, Georgia and Romania.

Betfair has installed the Boks as 9/4 favourites to win the 2027 tournament, with the All Blacks – who could meet South Africa in the quarter-finals – at 7/2.

France are 9/2 third favourites, ahead of England at 5/1, with Ireland having odds of 6/1.

The Wallabies, who meet New Zealand in the pool stage, are 9/1 to win on home soil.
