Hanro Liebenberg packed down for the Leicester Tigers as they cruised to a 39-17 win against the Newcastle Red Bulls. Sebastian de Chaves and Boeta Chamberlain featured off the bench for Newcastle.
Seven South Africans featured in the Exeter Chiefs’ 27-26 win against the Sale Sharks in Salford. Former Stormers hooker Joseph Dweba steadied the Exeter scrum, while Ernst van Rhyn, Jacques Vermuelen, Dan du Preez and Hyron Andrews ran out in the Sharks pack. Rob du Preez dotted down from midfield, while former Lions centre Marius Louw featured from the bench for the Sharks.
Stephan Lewies started in the second row for Harlequins in a 26-15 loss to Gloucester at Kingsholm Stadium.
Benhard Janse van Rensurg marshalled the midfield for the Bristol Bears in their convincing 46-12 win against the Northampton Saints. JJ van der Mescht started at lock and crossed over for Saints in the second half.

Johann van Graan‘s Bath, reinforced by returning Springbok Thomas du Toit, beat Saracens 36-29 at the Stone X Stadium. Du Toit started at tighthead prop and powered over for a try on his return just before half-time. Franz van Wyk provided front-row reinforcements from the bench for Bath.
