The Lions have welcomed back two Springboks ahead of Saturday’s Vodacom URC clash against Glasgow at Ellis Park.
Scrumhalf Morné van den Berg and prop Asenathi Ntlabakanye both trained fully on Tuesday, putting themselves in contention for a key fixture against the table toppers.
The Lions are fifth on the log after four successive wins, with four rounds remaining, and on track to reach the URC playoffs for the first time.
Van den Berg returns after missing last month’s clash against the Dragons with a leg injury, while Ntlabakanye is also back in the frame after sitting out the same match during the period of his hearing following a positive test for a banned substance last year. The outcome of that process is expected later this month.

If training patterns are anything to go by, Van den Berg could slot straight back into the match 23 alongside Nico Steyn, with Junior Springbok Haashim Pead likely to miss out.
In the midfield, the Lions may be forced into a reshuffle after Bronson Mills suffered a knee injury against the Dragons. Richard Kriel impressed off the bench in that game and is now firmly in contention to start.

Lions backline and attack coach Ricardo Loubscher confirmed Mills’ situation remains unclear.
“Currently he is struggling with a knee injury. We are still waiting for the medical team to give us clarity on how long he will be sidelined.
“We have Richard who can step in for him. We are actually blessed to have good depth at centre. Richard is eager to play.”
